NIST College is a constituent institution under the NIST foundation. This College was launched by the group efforts of Academicians and Scientists. About 1000 students enroll yearly in Plus 2 streams and also sees successful intakes every year in their Bachelor level programs. Bachelor programs of NIST College run in the building at Banepa, Kavre which was established in 2012 to provide higher education outside Kathmandu Valley. The academic excellence, intellectual inquiry and critical thinking found at NIST education have made a niche’ in the education sector. The learning environment are lecture based and participatory supported by multimedia. Practical lessons are provided in IT enabled Computer labs. Besides NIST College have health care service, transportation services, cafeterias, locker rooms. Students are required to follow the code of conducts set by the College.

Academic programs offered by NIST College:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information technology
It is four years program of Institute of Science and technology of Tribhuvan University. This program provides knowledge of both Computer and Information technology. This course will help to design electronic media products and solve problems of hardware and software by applying the principles of this program in real world problems.

Bachelor of technology in Food technology
It is a program of Tribhuvan University that provide knowledge in the area of food Science, chemistry, microbiology, Engineering, nutrition to produce foods demanded by consumers. It also provides study of challenges of food production along with skills in food processing.

Bachelor of Computer Application
It is four years program under Faculty of Humanities and Social Science that provides knowledge of Computer and Management to produce high end computer users and software developers in the IT Sector. It is a semester wise program of TU.

Bachelor of Information Management
This is a four years program that studies underlying concepts of information and communications system that was designed with an aim of developing socially responsible, scientifically approached Information technology outcomes to solve problems in the organization.

Plus 2 Science
It is two years program of an intermediate level offered by National Examinations board about studies of science and technology to deepen knowledge in the applied and theoretical natural Science sectors. It is grouped into three areas Physical group, biological group and computer group.

Plus 2 Management: It is two years intermediate program about studies of fundamental knowledge of Management and its application in the real world scenario.
