Purbanchal University School of Engineering and Technology

Purbanchal University School of Engineering and Technology was established in 1993. It was an extraordinary endeavor by Government of Nepal to create an academic center of excellence in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal.It played a catalyst role in the socio-economic transformation in Nepal through quality education. Purbanchal University School of Engineering and technology(PUSET) being constituent Campus of Purbanchal University(P.U) is situated in Biratnagar Metropolitan City. It has been established in the
year 2056 B.S.with an aim to provide quality education to meet the national and international need of the profession. PUSET is pioneering among other programs in Science
and Technology Faculty.The engineering programs having four years Bachelors of Engineering (BE) course in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer
Engineering.It was pioneer campus to start BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application) program in 2056 B.S. Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)program was introduced for
the first time in Nepal from this Campus.Need of Post graduate programs was recognized very soon and MCA(Masters of Computer Application) was started in 2060B.S.
The objectives of PUSETare producing Engineering manpower, Computer software developers, Information Technology specialists. Develop as center of Excellence in the
fields of Computer Engineering, Information technology, and Computer application.It also aims to provide consultation service in related areas and become result
oriented.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application): PUSET introduced this program in Nepal.The blend of software development, software engineering, managerial and accounting concept,
computer hardware and maintenance are the highlights of this program.Eligibility is for students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any streams with at least 45%
marks in aggregate.Scholarship criteria are 5% on open competition and 5% reserved basis according to present scholarship act of Purbanchal University.

BIT(Bachelor in Information Technology): Four-time full-year academic program. The objective of this program is to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge on
various tools, concepts, techniques used for analysis design and development of computer information systems.Students passing 10+2 or equivalent in any streams and
must have studied maths and obtained 45% marks in aggregate are eligible for studying BIT program.Scholarships of 5% for open competition and 5% on reservation basis of
Purbanchal University’s scholarship Act.

BE(Bachelor of Engineering in Computer) is a four-year full-time academic program. It is a discipline that integrates several fields to develop computer hardware and
software. Engineers have training in hardware-software integration instead of only software engineering. Computer engineers are involved with many hardware and software
aspects of computing, from designing microprocessors, personal and supercomputers, circuit design.For entry, students must have passed 10+2 in science stream with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English as main subjects with 45% aggregate marks.Scholarships of 5% for open competition and 5% on reservation basis of Purbanchal University’s scholarship Act.Besides this, it offers graduate and postgraduate courses in electrical and civil engineering. PUSET is located at Biratnagar.
